Why have a baby registry?

It’s an exciting time and there will be a lot going on during these 9 to 10 months of your life. It’s good idea to start a baby registry as soon as you are confident about your pregnancy. Even if you do not plan on having a baby shower, having a baby registry will help you stay organized and put your to do list in perspective.

For the first 3-6 months, I did not have to spend a lot of money on baby items because the majority of baby essentials were gifted by friends and non-profit organizations.

How and when to make a baby registry?

My favorite baby registry is Babylist. They allow you to bring all registries from different stores together in one place. Once you or someone buys an items of your registry it will be marked as purchased to avoid confusion and duplicates. You will also receive a 15% discount to use 60 days before your baby’s due date.

Setting up an account is easy.

Top 10 Baby products to have on your registry

1. Diapers

2. Wipes

Like diapers, you will spend a lot of money on wipes. You don’t need a lot baby clothes because they grow out of it fast, but you need a lot of diapers and a lot of wipes.

If you are planning a gender reveal you can organize it so that each party brings either wipes or diapers. For example, team boy can bring wipes, and team girl can bring diapers. This way, you will have a stash of diapers and wipes either way.

3. Desitin
